Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers the Zazema marketing website at zazema.com. It explains what gets stored in your browser when you visit, which third parties are involved, and how to turn each one off. The Zazema Shopify app is a separate surface with its own policy. See the Zazema for Shopify privacy policy for that.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Related technologies such as local storage do the same job in a different place. We use the word cookies below to cover both.
3. What This Site Loads
This site loads exactly two third-party services. There is no advertising network, no retargeting pixel, and no cross-site tracking on this site.
3.1 Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they came from. We use it to decide what to write and build next. It runs on every page of this site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not double counted | 2 years (Google default) |
| _ga_<measurement id> | Holds the analytics session state for this specific property | 2 years (Google default) |
Google Analytics also processes your IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, approximate location derived from the IP address, and the pages you view. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising or audience remarketing. Google acts as our processor for this data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
3.2 Cloudflare Turnstile
Cloudflare Turnstile is the bot check on our forms. It protects the waitlist form and the petition form from automated abuse. The Turnstile script loads only on the pages that carry one of those forms. On every other page nothing is requested from Cloudflare at all.
To decide whether a submission is human, Turnstile receives your IP address and browser and device signals from Cloudflare, and it stores a short-lived value in your browser so a challenge you have already passed is not repeated. Cloudflare states that Turnstile is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling across sites. We receive only a pass or fail token, never the underlying signals. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
4. Local Storage We Set Ourselves
If the waitlist API is unreachable when you submit the form, the site keeps your submission in your browser's local storage under the key waitlist so the entry is not lost. That value stays on your device and is not read by any third party. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.
5. How to Turn These Off
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The site works normally with analytics blocked.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: blocking it prevents the bot check from completing, so the waitlist and petition forms will not submit. Everything else on the site still works. If you want to reach us without the forms, email privacy@zazema.com.
- Everything at once: most browsers let you block or clear cookies and site data per site. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off on this site. Browsers send these signals in different ways and there is no single standard for honoring them, so we do not claim to act on them. Use the controls in section 5 to stop analytics.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a service that stores something in your browser, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
